AUTOMATIC SLOTTING SAW
To the right is an automatic slotting saw developed for a manufacturer that provides louvers and grates for the heating and air conditioning industry. An aluminum extrusion is fed into the machine from the left side, until it
reaches a stop. The cycle is then started, and the saw will slot the top of the
extrusion and automatically feed the extrusion forward for the next series of
slots. A series of rotary saw blades are mounted on the custom arbor at precise spacing for accurate cuts. A spray mist coolant system keeps the blades clear and lubricated. The chips are expelled to a slide out drawer to ease the cleanup.
