Control Handle Inspection Station, Model 1104:
This station was developed to inspect the control handle,
seen in the gallery below. Before the machine releases the assembly, it verifies
the presence of the rubber stop button, confirms the spring is installed and
functional, checks for the proper insertion of the handle pivot pin, and makes
sure the "E-Clip" retainer is installed properly. The use of an encoder strip
enables the PLC to monitor the position of the end of the pivot pin, and confirm
that it is oriented correctly, and the "E-Clip" is installed. The pin inspection
tool end is designed with an insert to confirm the "E-Clip" is seated in the
groove properly.
